The Great Exhibition of Lincolnshire sets sights high

The second annual Great Exhibition was held at Lincolnshire Showground on the 21st October 2026. Hosted by the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority (GLCCA), compered by a humanoid robot and opened by a space-themed Dame Andrea Jenkyns, the current Major of Greater Lincolnshire.

The event, which took the place of the long-running Greater Lincolnshire Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Annual Conference, was this year centred on 3 key themes -

WE FEED the future of farming, food production, Agri-Tech and agricultural innovation.

WE POWER energy security, infrastructure and the technologies needed to power Britain.

WE PROTECT defence, AI, security, advanced manufacturing, drones and the technologies changing modern warfare.

With former Prime Minister Rt Hon Liz Truss, former Secretary of State for Housing Rt Hon Robert Jenrick, a four-term representative of the State of Texas, and the Deputy Director of Number 10 North, the main stage of the Great Exhibition drew heavy hitters from the world of politics.

In the adjoining hall, a Business Stage hosted several panels on innovation, investment, growth, and the workforce, surrounded by an exhibition of businesses aligned with the event's 3 themes. Demonstrations of robotics, a self-driving shuttle bus and advances in technology for farming were key highlights.

Jayne Southall, Business Development Manager at Gelder Group said: "The Great Exhibition was a fantastic event, bringing together businesses and organisations from across the region and beyond! It was a great opportunity for us to showcase Gelder Group and everything we do, catch up with familiar faces and make some lovely new connections.

We were delighted to be part of such a successful event, with Sam Gelder taking part in a really interesting panel discussion and sharing his knowledge and insights. And to top it all off, we had some fabulous coffee from Seven Districts Coffee Roasters!”
