Lincolnshire win for Online Floral Retailer of the Year
Sleaford based Flying Flowers has won Online Floral & PLant Retailer of the Year at the FPC Fresh Awards following a public vote of favourite online retailers.
Flying Flowers launched a carnations by post service from Jersey in 1981. Today it operates from Lincolnshire, delivering seasonal bouquets across the country.
Partnering with multiple Lincolnshire growers, Flying Flowers sources fresh flowers from across the county. Details on their local growers can be found here.
Nigel Jenney, Chief Executive of the Fresh Produce Consortium, said: “Flowers are often sent to say something that matters, so customers remember when the experience feels special. Flying Flowers’ voters spoke about beautiful bouquets, lasting quality and the pleasure of receiving them. It is lovely to see that appreciation reflected in a public vote.”
Sandra Varley, Head of Flying Flowers, commented: “Winning Online Floral and Plant Retailer of the Year is a huge milestone for us and hearing such glowing feedback from shoppers makes all the hard work worth it.
We set out to offer fresh, high-quality products, support British growers, and deliver a great customer experience, so bringing this trophy home against tough competition shows we’re doing just that.”
Arena Flowers, Bloom & Wild, Bunches, Freddie’s Flowers, Marks & Spencer, Moonpig, Morrisons, Ocado, Prestige Flowers and Serenata Flowers were also highly commended after receiving many votes.
