Lincoln CEO wins Chief Executive of the Year
Benedict (Ben) Heaver, CEO of Lincoln based Streets Heaver Healthcare Computing, was named Chief Executive of the Year at East Midlands Business of the Year Awards 2026, held in Nottingham on 15 October.
Having joined Streets Heaver in 1999, Ben has played a central role in the company’s development from a team of 18 employees into a healthcare technology business employing more than 100 people. Today, its Compucare System supports private hospitals, clinics and NHS private patient units across the UK.
Ben said: “Being recognised as Chief Executive of the Year is genuinely humbling, but this award belongs just as much to the team around me. Streets Heaver’s success is down to the brilliant people who show up every day, care deeply about what we build and continue to challenge what is possible.
I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together and excited about what comes next.”
The award recognises Ben’s long-term approach to leadership, which focuses on investing in people, responsible innovation and sustainable growth. Under his leadership, Streets Heaver has strengthened its position within UK healthcare technology while remaining independently owned and family-run. Today, the Compucare System supports around 85 private healthcare organisations across more than 480 locations nationwide.

The recognition formed part of a successful evening for Streets Heaver, which was also a finalist for Employer of the Year and Family Business of the Year. These were the two categories entered by the company, while Ben’s Chief Executive of the Year nomination was selected independently by the award organisers.
Streets Heaver COO, Candy Mussett said: “Ben has helped shape Streets Heaver into the business it is today through a combination of clear vision, strong values and a relentless focus on people. What stands out internally is the trust he places in those around him, encouraging people to take ownership, try new ideas and grow both personally and professionally.
This award reflects what many of us experience every day: a leader who is genuinely invested in the success of his team and always quick to share any recognition with the people around him.”
