30 years of Agatha on Lincoln High Street
Agatha, the womenswear fashion boutique, has been a part of Lincoln's High Street and a part of Carl and Roberta's lives for the past 30 years. The chic black storefront with the eye-catching pink signage and the instantly recognisable pink branded carrier bags containing someone's latest treats are a well-loved staple amongst the independent retailers in the city.

With a background in menswear, the concept behind Agatha was born out of a gap spotted in the market for fashionable womenswear. Roberta felt that, of the stores on offer, she was too old for some and too young for the others.

Agatha is well known for its exceptional personal service and highly curated choice of garments and accessories. Deliberately offering limited quantities of each brand so that you get a sense of exclusivity, the chances of going to an event wearing the same as someone else are extremely low, and that attention to the client experience has kept customers coming back decade after decade.
On the 30th September, Agatha officially marked 30 years in business with a special event for customers old and new, opening the doors at 11am as a nod to the time they opened back in 1996.

LoveLincoln caught up with Carl and Roberta to reflect on their past three decades in Lincoln and you'll be able to read a special duo edition of our feature, Pillars of Lincoln on Friday this week!
